An Eastern menu of Malaysian, Chinese and Singaporean dishes can be enjoyed at Zheng Restaurant served in modern, sleek wooden surrounds. The restaurant gets its name from Fleet Admiral and Diplomat Zheng, one of the most famous explorers in the history of China.Between 1405 and 1431, Zheng led his fleet on no less than seven voyages reaching places such as Vietnam, Thailand, Sri Lanka, the Persian Gulf and parts of Africa. In the spirit of Zheng’s voyages, the Chinese restaurant serves up a rich, diverse and authentic dining experience. The underlying influence of the food is still unmistakably Oriental however, from authentic Malaysian and Singaporean to spicy Szechuan, Cantonese stir-fries and Shanghai braises. The recipes may have travelled a long way, but much of the fresh meat, seafood and produce is locally sourced. The resultant flavours, enhanced by an array of Chinese herbs and spices, are zesty and succulent.
